Merk Bay Beach
The Merk Bay beach lies in the North Passage Island, one of the uninhabited island in Andaman, which is close to Straight Island, Guitar Island and Long Island. White sand of the Merk Bay beach in contrast with the blue water makes the perfect setting for a day out.Visitors take boats from Long Island jetty, the journey takes one hour to reach Merk Bay beach. Boat ride is enjoyable because the journey goes through vast creeks. In rough weather, the high waves may make the journey a little difficult to traverse.
Carry your food with you because this is an uninhabited area and you may not find anything to eat there, except coconuts.The beach is a vast, long stretched area that offers an awesome view and a great scope for beach walking. Merk Bay beach is good for bathing and snorkelling. It is also a good spot for bird watching and the sea around the island is famous for playful dolphins.
It is better to start your journey early in the morning and be back by afternoon, this is an uninhabited island so there are no possibilities to stay here. You can instead spend the night in Long Island.
